FORCE is currently involved in projects in:
Kolkata,
India - Ramakrishna Mission Blind Boys Academy
FORCE is seeking funds to
establish a digital talking book production facility at the
Ramakrishna Mission Blind Boys’ Academy in Kolkata to meet
the
demand for talking books amongst the pupils and students of
the Blind Boys’ Academy, and from the visually handicapped
in and around the city of Kolkata.
The present recording facilities at the Academy are very
modest and rapidly becoming obsolete through age and the
advent of new technologies. Our aims are to upgrade the
audio production unit in order to enlarge the existing
library collection, and to prepare it for the future of
talking books.
Cost of the project:
£27,450
