Crimea, Sudak - International Crimea Conference
For 6 years in a row, FORCE has contributed to this increasingly reputable conference by funding participants from libraries for the blind in Russian-speaking countries and co-organising workshops on questions and challenges relating to setting up and running libraries for the blind in the former Soviet republic.
2003: Partial funding and organisation of a workshop on development strategy for management staff of Russian-speaking libraries for the blind with more than 60 participants. The workshop covered questions relating to the reorganisation of libraries for the blind in the digital age.
2004: Partial funding and organisation of a workshop on library and information services for the disadvantaged, focussing on professional standards and rules of work with people with disabilities including the development of service centres.
