1. Lagos - Braille printer maintenance course:
Funding and organisation of a one week training course in Lagos about the installation and maintance of Braille printers. INDEX provides the training and donates supply of replacement parts.
2. Countrywide - Central cataloguing of (digital) alternative format materials:
Development of a national project for the establishment of a central catalogue and database of (digital) alternative format materials in cooperation with the Association of Libraries for the Blind (ALVI), the Library School of the University of Ibadan, Niger Wives (who, amongst other things, offer a Braille production service), the Anglo Nigerian Welfare Association of the Blind and the Special Education Department of the Federal College of Education.
