1. Yaounde - Computerised Braille production centre
Joint funding with the Dutch Liliane Fonds of a Braille production centre with four work stations (including one standard and one Braille printer) in cooperation with the Union Francophone des Aveugles (UFA). The centre is located in the premises of Promhandicam which caters for rehabilitation of people with various handicaps and has an integrated primary school for both blind and sighted children.
2. Yaoundé - Braille maths training
Training in Braille for mathematic for the centres in Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso), Bamako (Mali) and Yaoundé. Tutors from France will undertake local courses in the autumn of 2004 during which training will be given not only to the Braille transcribers but also to the teaching staff of the schools.
