1. Ouagadougou - "La Renaissance", school for blind, orphaned and abandoned children
Provision of a Braille production facility supplying the direct needs of the school and working in conjunction with the main Braille production centre at ABPAM (Association Burkinabe pour la Promotion des Aveugles et Malvoyants), also funded by FORCE. Training in Braille for mathematic for the centres in Ouagadougou, Bamako (Mali) and Yaoundé (Cameroon). Tutors from France will undertake local courses in the autumn of 2004 during which training will be given not only to the Braille transcribers but also to the teaching staff of the schools.
